What documents are required to settle a loan?
To release the rebate and settle the no‑interest loan, Plenti needs evidence that your system has been safely installed and has approval from your network operator. The required documents differ slightly depending on which utility supplies your electricity:
- Synergy customers – You must upload:
- An installation invoice showing the final cost of the battery system, labour and any accessories. This invoice confirms the system is new, was installed after 1 July and matches the quote submitted with your application, including inverter and battery model and pricing information.
- A Western Power “Approval to Operate” document. This document is issued after Western Power inspects your installation and confirms it is safe to connect to the grid and participate in the Virtual Power Plant. Without the Authority to Operate, or with the pre-approval letter only, we cannot verify that the system can legally export energy to the grid.
- In addition, Plenti relies on every installed battery to be tested by Synergy and become “approved” to operate in the Synergy network. Once testing has passed, Synergy will provide confirmation to Plenti in order to proceed with the funds payment.
- An installation invoice showing the final cost of the battery system, labour and any accessories. This invoice confirms the system is new, was installed after 1 July and matches the quote submitted with your application, including inverter and battery model and pricing information.
- Horizon Power customers – You must upload:

- A NOC (Notice of Completion) confirmation receipt from Horizon Power. This is issued after Horizon Power’s final commissioning checks and confirms the system meets its technical requirements.
- An installation invoice showing the final cost of the battery system, labour and any accessories. This invoice confirms the system is new, was installed after 1 July and matches the quote submitted with your application, including inverter and battery model and pricing information.
Plenti cannot pay out the rebate or settle the loan until these documents are received and verified.
