What is HEUF?
The intention of the HEUF is for the CEFC to leverage the consumer lending capabilities of Australian financiers like Plenti to offer discounted consumer loans to their customers.

FAQs
Firstly, you need to be a Plenti accredited installer and have the appropriate certifications for relevant installations.
And for your customers to be eligible for our HEUF Discounted Green Loans, they must:
- Be over 18 years old
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Have a valid driver's license, Medicare Card, or Australian Passport
- Own (or be purchasing) their own home where the property value does not exceed $2.5 million
- Have a clear credit file
- Be employed >25 hours a week, a self-funded retiree, or receiving a government pension
In some cases we may require the customer's bank statement and latest electricity bill.

- Battery, Solar, Inverter and EV Charger installations need to be done by a New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) accredited company and by a Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) certified installer*.
- Wall, Floor and Ceiling Insulation installations need to be done by an Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) certified installer.
- Air Conditioning installations need to be done by an Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) refrigerant handling licenced installer.
- Additional state-based licensing may be required for various tradespersons, depending on the state and the specific home assets installed.

No — at Plenti, we don’t charge additional repayment or early exit fees for consumer loans. You can make extra payments, increase your monthly payment or repay your loan early and there are no fees for doing this. You would also save on the amount of interest you are paying.

If your client is solely installing a solar PV system, they will not qualify for any of the HEUF discounts.
If the solar PV system is installed with a battery, they will be eligible for 'HEUF Discount 1'.
If the solar PV system is installed with one or more HEUF-eligible equipment, they will be eligible for 'HEUF Discount 2'.
