The partnership will make solar battery systems more accessible to Australian consumers via AGL, with a simplified customer journey a designed to accelerate the way towards a clean energy future.
Plenti CEO Daniel Foggo said: “We’re delighted to be working with AGL in a strategic partnership that reflects our wholesale commitment to a more sustainable future for Australia. Together we’re providing a solution that makes solar and home battery systems more accessible for Australian households, allowing customers to save on their power bills while helping the environment at the same time.”
The partnership with AGL is an important step in Plenti’s ongoing provision of innovative energy solutions, including its role as delivery finance partner for the New South Wales Government’s Empowering Homes pilot program and South Australia’s Home Battery Scheme.
“Joining forces with a major energy retailer such as AGL means we can get more solar and home battery systems into households and help Australia transition more rapidly to a net zero future,” said Mr Foggo.
Customers who purchase these renewable products will be able to access AGL’s virtual power plant and utilise the energy stored in its network of connected solar batteries. In addition, eligible customers can receive payment for allowing AGL to access power stored by their batteries, typically during times of peak electricity demand.
