Plenti is Australia’s most-popular consumer lender, providing personal loans, car loans and green loans to everyday Australians. We have been appointed by the Government of South Australia as the exclusive administrator of the South Australia Home Battery Scheme subsidy.
In conjunction with the Government of South Australia, Plenti receives and assesses applications from businesses to become accredited System Providers for the scheme, and will receive applications from System Providers to accredit Eligible Systems to the scheme.
Plenti also receives and assesses finance applications from customers who wish to purchase Eligible Systems as well as other qualifying renewable energy products such as solar panels.

For your customers to be eligible to receive a Home Battery Scheme subsidy you must become an accredited System Provider, and you must only install accredited Eligible Systems.
Your application to become an accredited System Provider should be submitted immediately prior to an application to accredit at least one Eligible System. After you have become an accredited System Provider, you may submit further applications to accredit additional Eligible Systems.
Businesses accredited as System Providers will also be automatically accredited to offer award-winning Plenti finance.
Apply to become an accredited System Provider
To become an accredited System Provider a business must complete an application demonstrating its ability to satisfy criteria including:
- Consumer protection – recognition from an approved industry body.
- Competency – accredited by an approved industry body.
- Safety – adherence to reasonable standards of safety.
- Reputation – evidence of customer satisfaction and good workmanship.
- Financial standing – solvent and financially sound
South Australian presence – local employees and office. - Your approval as a System Provider is conditional upon at least one Eligible System being authorised for your business.
The application will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
Apply to accredit an Eligible System
- Eligible Systems are unique to each System Provider, and you must apply to accredit each Eligible System that your business wishes to install.
- Eligible Systems will need to comply with a set of minimum technical specifications that have been developed to help ensure the system is safe, reliable and capable of being recruited into a virtual power plant (VPP capable).
- As part of this application you will need to describe the components of the proposed Eligible System.
The application will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
